The largest solar community of Spain has been installed in Fuenlabrada (Madrid). A Breeam (Very Good) retail park developed by Equilis.
Three of Nexum’s Retail Park rooftops have been used to install 1.500 solar panels, making it the most ambitious retail park regarding energy.
The project, developed together with Smart Cities of the Spanish electricity company Iberdrola, goes far beyond self-consumption, as in addition to generating the energy needed by Nexum retail park, it will also supply 1.100 families living within a radius of 2 km around it. In this way, the retail park is integrated into the community with a forecast saving for the families of 40% of their energy consumption, also avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of 6.000 tons of CO2 in a period of 30 years.
On top if this Nexum retail park also offers 26 electric car stations, 10 of which are super-fast recharging stations and the remaining 16 are semi-fast recharging stations.
Equilis develops Nexum Retail Park, on behalf of Duodev1 fund, offering 22,000 sqm of retail and a 4,000 sqm hotel.
Opening planned on November, the 8th.
